Canada 🇨🇦 National Day

“EVERY CHILD MATTERS “

During the Week of Truth and Reconciliation, HSDE Canada brought together children and adults at St. John Park, Winnipeg, to reflect on the teachings of this important day. We gathered to honor the truth of Indigenous experiences and to embrace the journey toward reconciliation.

This week is a solemn reminder of the children who were lost to the residential school system and the lasting impact it has had on Indigenous families and communities. We must continue to acknowledge the painful truths of the past while committing to actions that ensure a brighter future for Indigenous peoples. The path to reconciliation requires not only education but also empathy and meaningful change. HSDE Canada stands with Indigenous communities in support of healing, understanding, and justice. Let us remember that reconciliation is not a one-time act but a lifelong commitment to honor the truth and ensure that every child, past, present, and future, is valued and protected.Together, we can build a more inclusive and just Canada where the legacy of every child is cherished.
